A bit of a result yesterday.

The divider between my driveway is about five feet wide. That is not much to put snow on so the pile gets quite high. The divider has a fire hydrant on it. I'm technically meant to keep it clear but I don't bother.

A back-hoe from the City came and removed about 15 feet. I make that at least two tonnes of compacted snow I don't have to worry about (it's now on my neighbour's front yard).

I was surprised at how far the pile had extended into the street.

Anyone remember this clip?

Spoiler:

It's the same as the city plow operators...they wait for you to clear your drive and then they come and plow a ridge across it again. Bastards.

So I was cursing last night because our 'Mr Plow' came and cleared all the day's snow and our drive where the city plow had done at least twice. Then an hour later the city plow renewed the mini-mountain across our drive.

This morning I gave myself a fatal heart attack making a gap and then our nice Mr Plow returned, re-did the drive, and went on his way before I could say hello, let alone pay him.

It's +3, sun is shining, & I'm about to turn off the heating & open windows for an hour or so.

There's some sort of neighbourly dispute going on about snow clearing/plowing our communal entrance & yard. I'm trying very hard to ignore/stay out of it.

Wow, you must be smaller than I imagined. Did he have a choice as to which one he wore?
