Any thoughts on the BC Osoyoos Larose? I had a few bottles some years ago and remember it being quite decent. My local (thankfully reopened!) LCBO had some cases in today of the 2006 at 40 bucks. Not convinced it is worth that.

Christmas Turkey went down very well with a Burrowing Owl Shiraz 2006. Needs a big glass to appreciate. At $26 a bottle it is well above my everyday drinking standard, but nice on a special occasion.

I used to enjoy the Burrowing Owl whites when I lived in Vancouver. Excellent Pinot Gris as I recall. Not easy to find.

Oh as a side note, the most awful wine I've ever tried was Hermitts followed closely behind by Great White, both only fit for cleaning agents. Although I'm told Hermitts now comes in a very classy juice box.

No one has mentioned Jackson Triggs.
At one time the poster boy for drinkable Canadian wine at an affordable price, now a little suspect - because how much Canaidan juice is actually in them?
I have drunk some good wine from the Okanagon and Ontario. Not much from the Yukon!
Any good Canadian Wines to add to the list?

The Jackson Triggs Sauvignon Blanc is my Canadian wine of choice just now and Concha y Toro Sauvignon Blanc is my favourite Chilean - both in the liquer stores here at under $20 a bottle
(thats for the 1.5l bottle)

I was given a couple of bottles of their 2007 pinot noir "founders reserve", or whatever the designation is, which by all accounts will be excellent in a year or so's time. I'm not usually very good at keeping wine for longer than it takes to cook the next meal, so I'll have to try not to drink it too soon. $35 at LCBO.
