You should see what they do with "Eamonn"! The number of blank stares or "excuse me sir" comments that generates is quite amusing!

When I was working with were corresponding with a lawyer in England called Gillian. She signed her letters "Gill" which I pronounce the same as Jill, but the Canadians thought it was gill - as in the things fish have!
