Why is my name so difficult for the Canadians?
 
Why is the name "Gaynor" so difficult for the Canadians to understand ?????

Sofar today I have had:

Dane
Jayne
Dana
Gail

I know, my husband has the same problem, his name is Sandy and they never get it right, one contractor kept calling him Randy, how did he know:rofl:

You should see what they do with "Eamonn"! The number of blank stares or "excuse me sir" comments that generates is quite amusing! :D

When I was working with were corresponding with a lawyer in England called Gillian. She signed her letters "Gill" which I pronounce the same as Jill, but the Canadians thought it was gill - as in the things fish have!
