Jeez, I should be careful what I bet on when I've had a few!! Since we set this "bet" I've lost a grand total of..........dddrrrrrrrrrr...........0lbs! In all honesty, I have not been pointing anything but I've been trying to eat the good stuff........obviously not working. OH says its cos I've gluttoned too much beer at the weekend and I'm a lazy slob who won't exercise

I had a wonderful day today, complete with 1/2 a bottle of white wine - a little chocolate and REAL butter (haven't had that in years) how was yours?

Breakfast for me today was a Quaker yoghurt cereal bar, lunch was salmon & cucumber sandwich and a plum, tea was tuna pasta bake.......no afters, no snacks of crisps or chocolate........I drink loads and loads of water.....and I don't see anything that helps to keep me motivated. My last blood test came back showing that my thyroid was going under-active, but nothing enough to concern the Dr........me finks it's time for another blood test

Sounds like you might be insulin resistant; especially if your weight is around the middle (apple shape?)

I had the exact same problem - I tried the traditional daily calorie counting, and gained three bloody pounds!

All sorted now though

The best part is I'm no longer obese - just 'overweight', which is great news for my health!

You're very welcome my dear.

I do fully realise that they are most likely permanent and I do so wish I could say they look good on me.

But they don't and I'm going to catch sh*t when I see my cardiologist. However such is life I'm afraid.

Should I be lucky enough to shed them and a few more that I'm packing around with me, I shall make every effort to pass them on to any of the exercise specialists or dietitians at Cardiac Wellness bunch of bloody twigs that they are.
