Well according to my work schedule I will be reporting at 8.30 pm on Christmas Day evening for a set of 4 x midnight shifts. What sort of traveller wants to enter Canada on that day:lol:
Ah the joys of being a shift worker and providing a service to you the public. I'll get my coat |

Only just saw your post about your shift on Christmas Day. We'll be looking out for you. Can you wear a red rose in your buttonhole?
We just had a major battle with management about wearing the poppy on our vests as our uniform policy does not allow for this:huh: |
Re: Who's going where at Christmas?
First Christmas in our own Canadian home, new kittens, lots of firewood stacked in, goose fattening, home-made cranberry sauce, smoked salmon and other goodies in freezer already, roof leak-free and generator checked over.
Going nowhere:thumbup:. |

Another one in the UK for me. I amoff to my sister's for as many hours as I can handle, which unless I take earplugs will be about four, less if Christmas lunch is done early. I would stay longer, but there will be six under five year olds to content with! Then return home for a quiet drink and TV, with Dad and BF, Boxing Day lunch with Dad and BF family in a nice country pub. No cooking for me this year. Still got all the Xmaas stuff to do now, shopping, pressy buying etc - knackered.com  |
Re: Who's going where at Christmas?
In and around Hamilton at Mrs. Selhurstpark's family and extensions.
On the phone to the Samaritans shortly afterwards I would think. |

On the phone to the Samaritans shortly afterwards I would think. It will be something of a relief this year to watch the chaos for a few brief moments from afar on Skype as my entire family squash into my niece's tiny Welsh miners' cottage for Christmas lunch, cooked by her husband-to-be, under the beady eye of my Mum, sister and BIL (who works on catering and is extremely fussy about cooking). Recipe for disaster. |
Re: Who's going where at Christmas?
After not seeing my lovely boys for over 6 months, they're finally here and I love it!
I really love cooking for them ALL DAY long ( missed my cooking!) and picking up all of those lovely wet towels that they kindly leave at the ends of their beds, and I love standing between them and dear Daddy while they have their indepth discussions that only men understand! And they let me do the dishes! Oh and how much do I love all the extra washing? ? And when they're asleep, how much do I love looking at them when I tuck them in? Soooo much that it hurts ! like my user name says - I love me boys!! :santa: :amen: |
