Staying home (Canada) for the very last Xmas !!!!!!!!! back home in UK hopefully mid 2012 for many more xmas's to come

I'm leaving the frozen north on Mon 19th, heading down to Calgary, then out to the UK on Tuesday evening, arriving back in lovely Norfolk on 21st.
Three weeks at home over Christmas and New Year... walks in the fields, crackling log fires, real ale in the pub... love it.
Anyone else going anywhere nice - or not so nice - over the festive period?

Nope, have to naffing well stay here so I'm planning on a making it a little more palatable by doing a sample of the Christmas dinners at local hotels. Have three planned so far, I think that might be enough.

Christmas will be the same routine as every year...pressies with the kids, the seemingly inescapable family lunch and general overindulgence. I shall be "working from home" twixt Christmas and NY. That's about it.

2 Christmas days this years - big family one on the 22nd at the parents in law (only time all the guys in the family are home at the same time) then a second one at the same place minus a few, on the 25th.

I'm off from 18th (or 19th can't remember) till 7th Jan. Doing the same as last year; booze, food, films, video games and dog walks will be the order of the day.

Here - parents arriving on 19th delayed a year due to mums fight with Breast Cancer but all clear now!
