Where is Siouxie?
 

Does anyone know how Siouxie is? I haven't seen her on here in quite a while, and she's always on on here, a real mainstay of this forum.
I saw “banned” written under her user name, but that can’t be right.

I know she has been struggling with some health issues, so that’s a concern, I really hope she is ok.

Not to mention that bans are usually for much shorter periods. Even the worst offenders have been back before now.

That might be usual for someone who's been banned. Can't imagine why Siouxie would have been, though - she's always seemed to me perfectly mild-mannered and helpful on the forum.

Have you tried with a capital "S"?

Agreed. She was very helpful and a great poster and moderator I thought and she put some of the numpties on this forum in their place. It is a mystery to me.

I got a bit of a shock reading this thread I must say. Siouxie was pretty helpful on the immigration forum. I'm an immigration consultant and the advice she gave was mostly correct and always well researched. If she didn't know something she'd say so and not guess which is important when people are looking for an answer and likely to rely on what you tell them. I'll miss her! She's been on BE forever!

I believe that she added the word 'banned' to her profile some time ago, just as a joke, I don't believe she has ever been banned.

The Maple Leaf really is all about banter, random topics and thread drift- people really just having a good time in a less formal structure of the forum.

Siouxie did not like thread drift.

That being said when someone leaves I usually assume they got a life and moved on to something more interesting.

I would hope for example that Ultrarunner went back to ultrarunning.

The link I put up yesterday to all her posts now doesn't work any more :confused: Just gets a "no such user" message. I don't know what's going on in here any more, it's weird and sad.

C'mon now, you know that Ultrarunner was actually 300lbs and the furthest he ever moved was between couch and refrigerator! 😁

I suspect that SIouxie was banned, perhaps for a while, and subsequently asked for her account to be deleted. But it's really none of our business. Hope she's well and living in the real world.

I think Siouxie, was/is one of the major assets of this forum always there with sound advice, always very helpful, knowledgeable and if she entered into debate was firm with her opinion, but always respectful and polite, which says a lot for her as a person. I can see no reason why she would be banned.

Its plain to see from the posts here that she is a very popular with most on this forum, I have never heard a negative thing said about her, I personally have always held a very high opinion of her, unlike some others that I won't mention. This situation is both weird and sad, and if she has been banned, I think we should be told of this and the reason why, so we don't make the same mistakes, its obvious no one here sees any reason for it.

Not anymore, it would appear. I get a message saying "sorry, no matches" when I click on the link.

Maybe that's due to being on mobile though.

I can only assume that the search IDs are linked to our own accounts.
Go to the Canada parent page, look for Siouxie's sticky "Read Me" post > click on her name > Statistics > Find all posts by Siouxie

Except that the one I put up yesterday did work yesterday, today it doesn't work even for me.

I just did a forum search on her name to generate mine.

Nope, it's a moving target, not "fixed".

Best way to search for her posts is to pull up her profile, move right to the "Statistics" tab, scroll down on that to "Find all posts by Siouxie", clicking on that link should produce the desired results.
