Not sure entirely who owns it now. Originally merged with Wendy's, then completely separated from Wendy's and then IPO'd as a separate company. May be still ultimately owned by Nelson Pelz, but no one seems completely as to who the majority shareholder is now. At least not that I've been bothered about enough to look into in enough detail.

Plus remember Tim Horton's is both a chain and a franchise, so many Tim Hortons are actually independently owned or run by smaller corporations. The Tim Horton's occasionally spotted in the UK that appear and often disappear again are all franchises with stuff (at least in the one I have had from) that tastes nothing like the Canadian items.

The Southampton one was spot on in terms of both the coffee and doughnuts

Timmies is a public company that trades as 'THI' on the TSX and NYSE. I hated Timmies until I started trading the stock... keep sucking back the double doubles people.

They've got donuts in subway right? They're not dunkin donuts, but all the same, they'll do till we get back to canada,
Personally I like quiznos aswell, now they're starting to open in the UK, getting off topic here,,
