I am Canadian therefore I do not fit into a 'class'.
Although I have more $ and edumacation than my neighbours, I still go to their BBQs.

For hot dogs and hamburgers?

Ah, you're "Foreigner" class... that's the lowest of them all.

Emergent Service workers

I played with it to see what made the difference and it was because we are renting. With owning a house here in our price range we will be Established Middle Class.

Established Middle Class - Back Home earning and saving less money but owning our old house.

Obviously I will answer based on current results.

I agree with you here. Boasting about education and social standing isn't very Canadian. For instance I still hang out with my neighbours even though I, too, am quite a bit richer and more educated than them.

Elite if I just put in CAD

and when I'm dead honest and admit I don't bother socialising at all and those people I do chose to reluctantly speak to are really my wife friends, and they didn't list any of the thing i like to do and so I put nothing in social and nothing in cultural I still got Technical middle class

English class is all about the money................

Not really, it's all about how you hold your knife and fork, your use of language, and how your house is furnished.

They live next to the US and few even know some of them.

Result: the class group you most closely match is:

Precariat

This is the poorest and most deprived class group. According to the Great British Class Survey results, lots of people in this group:

Tend to mix socially with people like themselves
Come from a working class background
Rent their home - over 80%

This is a bloody odd survey, I much preferred Woolsties take on it. Surely there should have been some kind of age question too, some bright spark who is staying a home to take care of a couple of kids, due to horrific child care costs is going to do worse than some old fart who has built up a fair bit of equity in housing over the years, but is hardly reflective of future potential. I wouldn't say it's got anything to do with 'class' whatever that might be. In the close of ten houses where I now live, we have four professors, three teachers one MD and a paediatrician and archivist...and us! Where I moved from I doubt they could have collectively counted to twenty without removal of socks.

I absolutely agree with you.

I would be that old fart. House paid for, savings in the bank and retired on a decent not great pension, some friends in the appropriate groups and the survey says...Elite.:rofl::rofl:
