Bulk Barn has Branston, probably at a lower cost than English shops.

Walmart too...if you have the nerve to venture in

That's a specific you rather than a general one.

Well I never knew that.

Haven't seen it in Walmart- I do venture in there on occasion, bought a bed sheet there last week.

It could depend on whether it's a normal, common or garden Walmart or one of those 'super' ones or whatever they're called.

When ours converted they included a British section. They don't call it that or label it in any way at all.

You see it because you suddenly notice Hobnobs, Roses Marmalade, Flakes, Birds Custard, Heinz Salad Cream, Scott's Porridge etc all in the same place. Just like at Sobeys, but not all Sobeys branches.

Yay! You guys are brilliant. The local bulk barn does have a wee british section. However a small jar or branston is $8- I'll be bringing a couple of huge tesco's own brand back with me.

But for the occasional thing very good to know. They had Haywards pickled onions- also $8- but might come in handy in a crisis.

Everytime I go to bulkbarn I think "should go here more" and then forget.

At Christmas they sell Quality Street by the pound, much cheaper than the same sweets in a box or tin.

We get our sticky toffee pud and custard from a dinamite dollar store near our house on Westney road, they also have Heinz beans 4 for $5, biscuits and loads of other stuffs

Lots of stuff can be found right here. Salad cream at Freshco, ginger nuts and Vimto at Sobeys it's all good

Still waiting for Clotted Cream. Might get around to Siouxie's recipe one day.

Chip shop curry sauce (granules) would be nice too.

The Sri Lankan chef in the local managed an awesome chip shop curry sauce the other day, even replicating the radioactive/fluoresent glow.

Going to trump you all here. As you probably know, I own (!) and run an ice cream manufacturing firm. Until recently, in the same industrial estate has been a UK wholesale import business. I can get a flat of 24 UK beans for $30. I had 2 cases of just over sell by date Cadbury Flakes for $5. 6 500ml jars of Branston Pickle (over sell by) for free. Whole box of marmite crisps for $5. Pot Noodles (mainly sweet and Sour and then Beef and Tomato) whole flat of 24 for $5. Those Caramel Wafer things, 24x4 packs - $5. Birds Custard - the big tins x6 - $20.

Then there's the out of season chocolate advent calendars and selection boxes that no-one else wants or really understands. The Easter Eggs that won't shift. Our kids are like blimps!

I just remembered - a display thing for Jaffa Cakes that didn't sell. Three boxes in tube, 12 tubes in the display. I'll go and take a pic of what's left now!
