hey aviator....i know the in's and out's of harrier as i was in a relationship with someone who worked on them in the navy.......you kinda pick things up after years of listening about them and supporting someone whilst they are on tour for long periods! you boys got all excited that i was a pilot, lol! i wish.....im a nurse!!

yeah i am hoping to live in Victoria (although this might turn out to be sooke!), i have family/friends there and will have good support whilst i settle! will be going on a TWP to start with and go from there!
heading over there start of October for a couple of weeks to visit them and sort a few bits out....although its a surprise visit as im just rocking up!!

Sounds good to me. I'm staying in Nanaimo and concentrating my efforts north of town, but I do fancy a trip down to Sooke. What do you know about the place...

spent many a childhood summer there, on the beeches and camping at french beach! i love the place as a summer hide-a-way, but not sure that i could live there full time....i'm more a city girl so victoria is my preferred place....but beggars cant be choosers at first and i will probably drive into victoria to start with and take advantage of a free place to stay and family support! having said that i haven't been there for 3years so i might feel differently after my trip in October....planning to check out neighbor hoods in victoria (james bay is a winner at the moment)....but if i fall in love with sooke you never know!
Cant say that Nanaimo is somewhere that i have spent any time in really, just a passing through place on trips up island, why there?

Looked at Victoria, and think it's a lovely place. i also looked north of the city at a placed called Cardova Bay, drop dead beautiful, but a little old farty for my kids.

Nothing is in stone as yet, and when I pitch up with my wife again in August I think we will look at some places we hadn't previously considered, but for now it looks like Nanoose. The place is pretty quiet and very chilled and the coast overlooking the Georgia Strait is lovely...Might even buy a boat and go fishing...I will keep you posted..

Cardova Bay is beautiful....but can see where the kids are coming from! i might be putting my neck on the line here, and totally may not be your thing, but Bear Mountain in Langford....have a peek...........http://www.bearmountain.ca/ ......close enough to victoria for the kids and its beautiful.
