Religion of Peace - what hogwash. But they always say one should never underestimate the stupidity of the average American voter. That probably applies to Canadian voters as well.
The extremists are guided by their book, unfortunately.

And Christianity is the "Religion of Peace"? According to the leaders of the KKK they represent the purest form of Christianity out there, so.... you can hardly say they aren't Christians, following the tenets of their religion.

BTW, I don't have to wait for young converts to American exceptionalism to start bombing non-believers while screaming "USA! USA!" and "God Save America," "Abraham Lincoln!" and dropping Shock and Awe on the nearest Islamic Mosque.

Your last paragraph can stand without modification.

Isnt the diferance between Christians or regular soldiers and ya average Islamic jeehad person that the first are fighting for freedom and democracy and the later for their God.

Army guys seldom state and chant they are fighting for the baby Jesus and jesus is guna give them a marvellous after life with many Virgin donkeys or whatever fetish is relevant

n.
The KKK were simple racists. They used their religion to validate their bigotry. One thing we can say about ISIS and Islam in general is that it is not at all racist. Homophobic, yes; sexist, yes; anti-Semitic, yes; racist, no.

Perhaps this is reason IS is able to attract sponsorship deals from important partners such as:
  • Toyota trucks
  • Kalashnikov rifles and ammo PLC
  • Saudi ministry of oil and money
  • CIA department of subterfuge

CBC had a poll the other day asking if we thought Steven Harper should make a statement acknowledging the official expressions of outrage by the Muslim community at the 2 recent murders in Canada and the result was approx 60% no, 40 yes. I thought it would be the reverse. Seems impolite not to but I suppose the tories have their own polls.
And I hope to hell they stop making it a news item every time a Canadian fighter bomber takes off and lands or drops something.

Today, we've been treated to the riveting news that a couple of 30 year old American made, Canadian branded, F-18's have dropped a couple of mediocre bombs in some random spot of Iraqi desert, possibly destroying a John Deere or two in the possession of ISIL.

I think that's a very Christian response to a couple of Canadian nut jobs who went stir crazy a week or two ago and either ran over or shot a couple of other Canadian folk.

A true and noble defence of liberal democracy.

You'd think UKIP would come out and actively encourage British muslims to go to Iraq and Syria?

You mean before UKIP wins a majority in Parliament and interns those who won't return to their glorious countries of origin? I know that would make Angela Merkel very cross, but by that time UKIP has us out of the EU anyway.

Actually, ISIS have a short memory. For many centuries Europeans not only beheaded some of their enemies and crucified others, but also burned a lot of them at the stake and invented the old draw and quarter ploy; not to mention that German engineers - in their inimicable fashion - found a way to reduce certain populations by over 6 million in record time. This could get ugly if they keep irritating us.

They don't care, they already served notice they want a big piece. They sent Putin a video a month ago saying they are coming to liberate Chechnya. They aren't scared. They'll probably do something in Europe (or converts will as in Canada) in the near future. In the middle east IS is big and bad and growing and every country that had an Arab Spring revolution is having second helpings between the hardcore sharia factions and everyone else. Israel let lots of IS fighters pass through the Golan Heights into Syria as soon as the UN observers were withdrawn because IS and Israel have in common a desire that Palestine not achieve a homeland. There's a deal with the devil. Someone is going to have to break the bank to get them out of Iraq and what could happen in Syria is a total mystery to me. This is why even in the late 60's early 70's older Russians still thought of Stalin with reverence. Not just because he got them through the war, but because no matter what turmoil the Soviet was in, there was no doubt who the boss was. Great Uncle Roman from Siberia told me the hard men liked him because he was a 'jail guy', (had been through prison) so he had something for everyone. Damn I miss those good old dictators now! Who's going to beat these guys down? That's a real poser and soooo depressing, imagine living there.
