I can see it now, when I opened it on my tablet earlier all that showed was a page of thumbnail gifs and banners.

Who should be an eligible voter?

The latest:
Kellyanne Conway, a senior adviser to Donald Trump, has come in for criticism and ridicule after blaming two Iraqi refugees for a massacre that never happened. "...two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalised and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre. Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.â€
It didn’t get covered, many are now pointing out, because there was no such massacre.

Somehow I feel this rather sums up some electors and their leaders in the US.

Judging by some of those in the news over the last couple weeks maybe it's those people in positions of power that should reach a level of competence first.
The latest:
Unbelievable.

But that gets to the root of the problem, if you don't have an informed electorate, the risk of electing manipulative truth bending politicians is that much higher.
Take for example this woman:
BBC Question Time audience member: 'I voted for Brexit because of straight bananas' | London Evening Standard
And there are many, many commentators on radio phone-ins or TV shows which demonstrate breathtaking ignorance or irresponsibility towards important political decisions. It's people like this that I think should be weeded out from the democratic process, particularly on something like a referendum.
