Touchscreen Laptop-To buy or not to buy?

Re: Touchscreen Laptop-To buy or not to buy?
Who cares? I bought/am buying them with my money. I don't play sport, do travel hockey, or do much else that normal kids my age do. Technology and traveling are my hobbies. (Both expensive ones ) And the school one is because I need it for school, due to complications I prefer not to discuss on a public forum that make my handwriting illegible. So not "unnecessary".
My unnecessary comment was aimed at the amount of devices you would own. If you already own a good laptop for gaming, an iPad (touchscreen, portable) and are going to be provided with a laptop for school.. then purchasing another laptop would be unnecessary.

So use the school one for school, gaming one for gaming, iPad for everything in between and spend the money on travelling somewhere. Or save it for your move to Malta.

Re: Touchscreen Laptop-To buy or not to buy?
At work I have Windows 8 but on a laptop attached to a big monitor for my second screen, it's not touch screen.....it's OK, but can be annoying, now at home.....just because I have a 13 year old son, and a husband who wants to be 13, we have an 'all in one' family PC with touch screen, and Windows 8 works so much better, Windows 8 was born wanting to be touch screen. Happy gaming
