Big difference, though. One was a surprise attack by two men onto one and close enough to stab/hack to death while the other involves a guy with a knife, in a confined space, nobody else in harm's way, and several armed cops able to shoot him.

You can er almost understand 3 shoots if there was a need for shooting, several officers had guns drawn, he moved forward and perhaps 3 fired at once? Just guessing really.

But a young man with a knife alone on a bus after exposing himself to the passengers, hmm, mental health issues? There was no need to shoot.

My Syrian friend doesn't consider himself white, he says he is Semitic, an arab. The majoity of Syrians are. I doubt race/ethnicity is relevant here. Badly trained and managed police officers more like.

So there is a march and vigil going to take place in one hour at 5pm. Lets hope it all goes smooth and no one gets angry with any cops that maybe ready with guns and Tazers. I would just keep very quiet in this town that the cops rule. ;@)
