I'd assumed it was a reference to Liverpool, who are statistically Britains greatest ever footie institution (Leagua titles, European crowns etc), and are actually undergoing something of a renaissance in the league this season...

There are not enough Geordie Ladies to make a team...thats the problem.

Lots of "wymn", but less than 11 ladies in the whole area. Same sort of problem with staging the nativity in Liverpool...couldnt find three wise men or a virgin....
