Ah well, never mind that... the big news of the day is that Laurent Robert & Armado Guevara's TOrONto FC beat Pretty Boy Beckham and Landon (Lonny) Donovan's LA Galaxy 2-3.

Emile Heskey struck with an injury-time volley to earn a point for Wigan and leave Chelsea's hopes of winning the Premier League hanging by a thread.

and so the final nail in the current chelsea managers coffin is firmly volleyed in. Told you, he'll be gone in the close season. money is still on lippi.

Now it really is utd, with Wigan being thrashed on the last day of the season just to really rub it in. Hubris. Ha.

I have a feeling that the Chelsea and Arsenal starting lineups at the beginning of next season will be vastly different than the current set up. I can't see Drogba, Malouda, Lampard sticking it out for Chelsea and Lehman, Van Persie, Edabouryear (sp?) hanging on with Wenger.

sir i thank you. with regard to people coming and staying, i agree, in as much that i think the english players who seem to have some real heart for chelsea such as lampard, terry and cole, will stay. as for johnny foreigner, as soon as the gravy train comes to an abrupt halt and spills onto the table, they will swim to safety.

Lehman fershure. his days are numbered. though unfortunately i think he will find another spot in the premiership with someone like spurs, he will want to stay in the south anyways. pity as he is/was a great goalie but a bloody awful sportsman.

this was from a while ago:-Arsenal see Celtic's Artur Boruc as Jens Lehmann's long-term successor (Sunday People). Now this would be a good move for Arsene, especially given Jens clanger today against Fulham. I am a big admirer of the Polish keeper, who has been tremendous for Gordon Strachan’s side during the last two campaigns. The accomplished stopper has attracted controversy whilst in Glasgow and this may play a part in his future plans. He is currently injured and Celtic seem to have a more than competent replacement in Scottish keeper Mark Brown, but I am sure the Bhoys won't be keen to see their number one leave

Lehman personifies poor sportsmanship to me. Leading up to WC 2006 he was ranting and raving in the press that Oliver Kahn shouldn't be #1 and that he should be #1 for Germany. He did well at WC 2006, but now he has been demoted at Arsenal and he doesn't like it one bit. His press statements (if they are true and haven't been lost in the translation) come across very bitter.

Against MUFC his positioning on the free kick that Hargreaves scored on was poor...he basically didn't move at all.

BTW...Hargreaves seems to be playing quite well these days.

yep seems to be struggling in the team though. its very guarded what goes on at utd, very little leaked, but from what i can gather he is not adapted to the 'fergie' regime well, late for training etc, thats why even though he is performing he is not being picked to start all the time, that and i suppose conflict of position with scholesy and carrick. we'll see what happens, he had to be a natural replacement for scholes, who i am glad to see get his 100 up, but is fast approaching his sell by date. mind you i said that about giggsy 2yrs ago.
