I am not a Liverpool fan and I have no real preference as to what he or Liverpool say..and yes I agree given the current squad at Liverpool, top 4 is probably the best they can hope for..but when there are another 108 points to play for, to come out and say it would depress me (if I were a Liverpool fan)........

Note to publicist, if you are going to dish out latin T-shirts to crocked footballers, at least crop the twitter picture to save the blushes of said injured footballers frustrated wife...

Or is it just me...

Please god let it just be some ridiculously expensive telephone or something

Courage grows greater through a wound? Is he crocked? Good news.

Sliced his leg open jumping in two footed (Scholes passing on his "technique"?), feel free to google gruesome pics.

Good news for united anyway, they wont have to play him for a couple of months and then its anyones guess when he will be able to get back in the team. Well, obviously that will be the next time RVP gets injured, so shouldnt have to wait too long.

After getting his leg gashed open, Rooney immediately jumped up off the ground and hopped around (about 15 hops in total) in front of the referee. Although Rooney's leg is gashed wide open (and hopping around probably increased the gash somewhat) the important matter for him seemed to be getting awarded a free kick.

That was then followed by a rather bizarre reaction from Danny Wellbeck, who marched over to the scene, trying to look useful, and, on seeing the open wound made a sharp 90 degree turn while doing some fluttering-hand gesture.

Not for the faint of heart:

Spot on actually. Although Graham Norton did use it on one of his shows, probably more because of it's resemblance to products you were inferring....

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, unfortunately.

This made me lol this morning (from the transfer deadline day BBC online coverage):

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has raised the possibility of striker Dimitar Berbatov returning to Tottenham. It was thought the Bulgarian was destined for Fulham, but Ferguson said: "He has not gone yet. I do not know anything about it. There's not been any contact from him. He could be anywhere. I really mean that. I wouldn't be surprised if he was at Tottenham. There are rumours going around. I do not think it is settled at Fulham."

I wonder if Fergie has checked the Old Trafford bench? If you've seen a man fitting Berbatov's description (tall, slow moving) please contact us via twitter or text.
