its the lilly white small minded folks in the small space of the UK that have it all backwards. Unfortunately changes are a coming fast. The dirty old Victorian Britain of the 1800's are gone forever in history books.

The Empire is dead, with its almost 100% foreign operated corporations in the UK, the UK has become just another branch of put it together country where folks work directly or indirectly for foreign corporations who (it seems) pay almost zero tax and any profits leave the UK. Of course Government employees & those on benefits are excluded as working for foreign corporations at the taxpayers expense.

Living in the past doesn't work. Step up to the mark, move forward with the rest of the world otherwise you'll get left behind

Pretty sure your average Hungarian or Latvian would probably be "caucasian" but I doubt they get a pass because of it.

including the Irish (is what happened to my mothers family) and any future Scots after a yes vote ... 'bloody foreigners go home'... not so easy these days

last trip back to the UK walking about Warrington I came across a Polish deli, walking in the young woman behind the counter speaking to a customer in a foreign language (I suppose it was Polish) when finished she spoke to me in jibberish - my response was 'sorry I don't understand'. Quickly reverting to the broadest Lancashire accent 'sorry Luv is there summut you'd like help with'.

After she spied the small maple leaf on my lapel we got talking further saying she has cousins in Toronto etc.

I asked her if she was born in the UK, her response was that she was born in Poland & that she was 9 years old the family came to the UK, that it was difficult in the beginning at school with the other kids & having deal with the language. She went on to say she has a degree but her parents required her to work in the shop as a duty to the family.

She explained at home its all Polish - outside of the house she is just like others in the area

There doesn't seem to be any logical progression, the replies don't make sense.

If I was still back in the UK I'd be advocating developed commonwealth movement and ditching the EU free-for-all.
