That's the one thing my Scotia card is good for, travel and trip cancelation insurance. That, and their rental car insurance is outstanding. Though I'm sure they make out like a bandit with their bloody annual fee.

I actually enjoy frexinet Cava at the time i left the deals were always 3 bottles for a tenner - wouldnt for 1 minute call myself a wine snob though - I make my own (from the convenient kits ) and enjoy that

Lets be fair here - if someone lends their unlimited Amex card away they deserve to lose their savings through sheer stupidity

For example last night at the cinema there was a parent sitting in the very front row with a 3yr old child. All I could see were people shaking their head and not doing a damn thing about it.

If that were in England the parent would have been shouted at and pop corn thrown at her. Here people just accepted that she had no control over her kid and raised their eyebrows.

When the movie had finished and people were walking out, she was the topic of conversation and almost everyone was moaning about "that kid".

You may be asking yourself why I didn't complain... I was at the back, but had I of been sitting near her, I would have been the first one to shout at her.

You know what I so agree with you on this one, kids way out of control, rude and not disciplined in the slightest......oh and this leads me onto the main thing that annoys me whch are eating habits in this country......why do they only eat with a fork using it as if it's some sort of shovel????

It could be a deal-breaker for some. I was shocked, almost appalled, during my last trip to the UK to see how many people were holding their knives with a pencil grip. Something should be done. I may write to Nick Griffin. I'm sure he could do something about this.

Quite. I sometimes wonder why some of my in-laws bother with cutlery at all.

More than a few of them would be more at home with a trough or nosebag. Some may even relish the thought of being fed via a tube. No bothersome washing-up. Or chewing.

And if the tube was nasal, more time to smoke and drink

By Jove Souv I think you're onto something

Or maybe it means that Canada is so perfect that such little things are the only thing left to complain about

I bet you Griffin is a pencil gripper

My mum, who has standards, would insist we held our knife and fork correctly. No fingers near the food end of the implements, only on the handles. Forks to be used with the tines down. Knives to be held in the palm of the hand. Cutlery should not be waved about while talking.

Do you know what? I've noticed that she now uses the pen hold. Shocking. Is there a general dumbing down of maternal standards these days?

Plus, I'm also quite upset by the lack of soup spoons. When I have soup I want to eat it with a soup spoon. Is this too much to ask?
