Re: Things that make you feel old
Stepson and stepdaughter (26 and 28) talking about new TV series "Lost In Space" being inspired by the movie and not knowing that movie was based on the original 1960s TV series. (I didn't tell them about the Swiss Family Robinson connection)
I had to tell them how annoying it was for me because it overlapped with Doctor Who on Saturdays and no VCRs in those days. |

Just watching those movies now makes me feel old, I still like them, but now that the future has passed us it didn't turn out as cool...lol The actor in the movie for Doc Brown was only 47 in the first movie. I feel old anytime i talk about something from the 1990's at work, very few of those I work with were old enough in the 1990's to remember anything, most being born in the 1998 to 2000 time frame with a few 1995's, but other then a 3 supervisors, nobody else I work with was born before 1994. |

I hear you. I'm the oldest person in the company I work for - in nearly 400 people.. then when I think back to the 60's and 70's - and can remember all the words to most of the songs..and remember dancing to the majority of them.. that makes me feel old, lol. As did watching the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" - cause I met Freddie and Brian and the boys back then. :D |

Re: Things that make you feel old
Being older than any of the other people I worked with before I retired 3 years ago, only made me feel superior not inferior or old. What kind of work is age appropriate? Unless you are a Chippendale or a female exotic dancer, what other kind of job is age appropriate.
What makes me feel old is saying that my daughter is 50. Hell, she can't be 50 since I'm only 54. |

Re: Things that make you feel old
After reading some earlier posts, I looked up what song was number one when I was 16. It was Barbra Streisand's The Way We Were
Should have posted this on the What's Pissed Me Off Today thread :frown: |

There appear to be a few sources with different charts. The team leader I have now was 3 when I started working at the club. |
