Absolutely! Great heavy iron Le Cruset slammer,

Did your Le Cruset explode at any point? If not, it might not be completely air (or carbon dioxide) tight. All that CO2 from your flat Asti is exacerbating global warming.

Oh, yes. I'll have to call David Suzuki about you.

Just cleaned the aftermath off the stove - appears to have been a thyme bomb....

Or is he in a gopher-free environment?
Please forgive my ignorance but I've only been around one and it was a blur - Jack Russell on speed.

He's at home in England. No gophers there, but he does like to chase squirrels and deer.

Nice puppy. Do you race him or her?

He'll be 3 this year, so not a puppy, and he is very big for a whippet. No, we don't race him as he's not got any birth paperwork, but it would be interesting if we had, because he is unbelievably fast. There are other whippets in the village and he is a lot faster than them. It is breathtaking to watch him running at full chat. The deer probably don't appreciate it quite so much though.

We had bought some posh sausages that I was very excited about but I got distracted when cooking them and they burnt to a crisp, so we had to have chicken which was very dull especailly when you're expecting tasty sausages. :(

Just so everyone knows, JNnZ's on the Drive is closed for holiday until Feb 14. They only let family work there so they just close up (it always used to be in the summer though).

A wonderful friend gave me 2 great big rings of deer sausage and a package of steaks yesterday so tonight it's (almost certainly) going to be sausage and fried cabbage with rye bread and beer. Don't try to tell me that isn't good for me.:frown:

It'll be the sandwiches I didn't have time to make for lunch; capocollo, provolone, roma tomatoes, pepper and a leetle olive oil on Calabrese buns. Might as well have wine with that, eh?
