OK Butch that didn't go unnoticed however I do have to agree with you with there being many s**tholes in Leicester..
Leicester is my hometown, although I lost the Leicester accent as soon as I started work and had to talk properly (without meaning to offend anyone the proper Leicester accent sucks).
I'll never have a Canadian accent now but use the Canadianisms - awesome, right on blah blah blah, but I have a generic sounding accent and think I always will have. Check back in 10 or so years though and we'll see!
To me Leicester is in the middle, yes we eat cobs, say alright me duck and don't pronounce our y's at the end of words properly!!!!!
And as to definition of North???? there is always somewhere North of somewhere - unless you are right at the North pole!!!!

I remember explaining to some foreigner .... and it wasn't in Canada, I don't remember where we were at the time ..... that we lived south of London. Their amazed response was that they didn't think there WAS anywhere south of London!
