Whether this shower story is some kind of Benny Hill mishap or an example of vulnerable women being exploited very much depends on the individual(s) involved. Some women might laugh at their own gullibility but I suspect most would feel tricked and vulnerable. It may well be time to agree to disagree.

I think most people would feel worse about being the victim of an assault if they knew they could have avoided it, had they seen the trick, and worse still if they thought people were laughing at them for their mistake. The situation is similar to that of a male tourist lured into an alley on the promise of, er, carnal pleasures, only to get mugged instead. He might curse himself for having fallen for an old line, obvious after the fact, but that wouldn't bring back his wallet.

We get it, Mike, you're an accountant, you don't go into alleys, you don't take your suit off in the shower, but not everyone's like that.
