Hi Rose, this might not apply to you but just in case. Seems that for some hospitals the patient is referred to the surgeon and then the surgeon refers to the oncologist, so there is another wait after surgery. It might be worth checking out if this is the case in your area and if so get a referral before the surgeon signs you off.
