In the space of one horrible week, I was diagnosed with both a rare bone marrow disorder and (apparently no connection) breast cancer. In the same week my husband had his car written off and sustained a moderate whiplash injury when he was rearended in the snow, and then he lost his job!
I hesitate to say things could be worse, as with our current run of luck something even more horrible will occur!
Yes, I damn well AM feeling sorry for myself!!

Under the circumstances, you need not apologise for how you feel

Wow sorry to hear you're having such an awful time. I only wish there were words that would help make you feel better but for what it's worth, thinking of you and sending good wishes.

If you look for silver linings, at least hubby is available to come with me to hospital appts, and in retail, November is a far better time to be job hunting than January, when he probably would have been laid off anyway!
The biggest deal for me is that it seems I won't get in for my surgery until mid-December!
My SIL in England has also just been diagnosed with breast cancer and would have had surgery two weeks after diagnosis, except she had health insurance, so had it done in four days in a private hospital! She's already started her chemo, about 4 weeks after being diagnosed.

Aw, crap Rose! Well, all I can say is that if things come in three's, you're done!
I don't want to sound glib here but what to say? Very best wishes to you both, and a couple of cyber hugs to keep you going. And you're allowed to feel sorry for yourself and have a vent. After that, you have to get well - and at least hubby is around for wee while

How awful, I'm so sorry to hear this.
Any one of those things would be bad enough, but to have all of them at once.......jeez. Sending positive vibes your way, I hope things improve for you.

There isn't really anything one can say, except it is crappy.
I just felt like indulging in a poor me moment.
Oh well, c'est la vie. Think I'll go for a walk...

Take care - and I hope there is a week where all good things happen in your not too distant future.
