Not what you want your pilot to do on a flight your own, luckily she was prevented from actually flying anywhere and removed from the flight. (Its more then just calling 2 politicians liars.)

My MIL has died this evening. I liked her, she's had dementia for a few years and so her children lost her a while ago but now she's gone physically too. It's a blessing really as her dementia wasn't a happy one but it's still overwhelmingly sad.

Sorry to read that, bats. I can understand the mix of sadness/relief.

I grew up downstream from a dam. That particular dam failed in 1916 causing a massive flood, luckily in 1916 the population was small so loss of life was only 8. That dam has been deemed unsafe by state authorities, but currently the organization in charge of that dam has chosen not to spend money on necessary repairs. If that dam failed today, the loss of life would be high. State official says Bonita dam is unsafe, nearby residents in jeopardy - 10News.com KGTV ABC10 San Diego I often wonder how safe these old dams are around the US and Canada. |

It's always fun watching snow coming down when it 'falls' sideways, especially when through one window it goes right to left while the other window you see left to right. But it's even more fun when every now and then loads of it flies upwards.

Okanagan dam breach prompts evacuation alert - British Columbia - CBC News but what's going on in California is in another league. I'm trying to imagine an evacuation of that magnitude, and it's like the entire city of Regina having to pack a bag and run. |

I'm sorry for your loss Bats. It doesn't matter she left a while ago. The physical loss is still a hard blow. You and yours take care. |
