Need helping learning to be an adult?
I still pop bags. I blow air in, screw up the end and then...bang! The paper bags the pharmacy uses for my prescriptions are perfect but today, in attempt to thwart me, my stepson opened the bottom end of the bag. Very neatly. Undeterred, while he was in the other room, I retrieved it, taped it up and...bang!! |

Pah. Who wants to be an adult? This leads nicely in to something that I was going to say.

Sometimes I wonder if the stepkids were far too mature (when younger) or Canadian kids just didn't do these things. |

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
We have an HMV store in our Mall.
In early years here I used to drop in as they had a good movie section. Not important now with so much on line. Virgin records was great when they were just a small shop but after it became a Bohemoth, HMV came into its own. They had great sales and I'd often come back with 5 or 6 LPs in my lunch break. |
Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
HMV was apparently losing 100k a day according to court filings.

Yum.
Microplastics found in supermarket fish, shellfish - Technology & Science - CBC News Tried Persil detergent for laundry as it was on sale for same price as the usual brands. Not sure if it cleans better but certainly leaves a stronger perfume scent behind. |

I've been buying Persil recently. Not because of an offer, or even for the smell. Just because it's what my Mum used to use. Of course she had gigantic boxes of powder rather than dinky bottles of liquid but it's nice to see a familiar brand. I'd rather see Penguins, or Quavers but you have to take what you can get. (And penguins aren't that good at getting stains out).
Penguins on Amazon Quavers on Amazon :D |
Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I'm going to post this here rather than the TV/Gogglebox thread, given that the latest post there is about the same show.
Two days ago I posted how I had just finished series one of Unforgotten (6 parts) and was now up to date with series two. I knew it would appeal to my daughter in law and tonight we watched series one - for me, all over again. I've never done that before. Usually I need significant time to pass between repeat viewings, not just two or three days. Anyone else watch anything shortly after previously watching? |
