And very dangerous according to statistics. https://uk.yahoo.com/news/victorian-...031954953.html
When I went to Australia I based myself out of Alice Springs for the first half, and can't remember all where I went now as its been 20 some years, however I have yet to replicate that trip anywhere in US or Canada, even away from city's in isolated places here in BC, I run into people, same in the US, but I went an entire day there driving in the middle of nowhere not seeing another human or even a car passing me on the road, it was crazy, and the sky looked different, a different shade of blue.
I've always had a liking for the place, sometimes feel I was born on the wrong continent. ha ha

Of the 38,000 people who go missing in Australia every year, 98% are found. That still leaves a lot of people who never are.
In any given year, between 70,000 and 80,000 people are reported missing to police in Canada. While most are found within seven days, missing persons cases can be extremely stressful for family and loved ones.

And BC will probably never get above 3rd place...
Similar one for the US although just the top 20 1790 onwards, and projection to 2050. California's growth was quite quickly, never visualized how fast California climbed to the top.

Seeing Finland at the top of the list reminded me of Monty Pythons song.. Finland, Finland, Finland...

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
So I’ve just found out that many city by-laws including Surrey, BC ban washing lines/clothes lines - anyone know why?
Just so strange to me growing up with a rotary washing line in the back garden...

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
It's the same for most cities in BC, I can only imagine it's because they look uncouth to non Brits who grew up with them in their back garden.
