I was in the pub last night chatting to a German-Canadian barmaid who was telling me about the Fogo Island Inn.
Looked it up and I have to say it looks amazing. Has anybody on here been?

I'm going to my first ever professional ice hockey match on Tuesday. Apparently our seats include "an all inclusive experience which features a rotating tapas style buffet and non-alcoholic beverages . A private VIP entrance (giggity), private restrooms, multiple television monitors in the upscale lounge area, and a fully stocked cash bar with premium beverages available."

I don't know who the lady is and I don't know who Tristian is, but I feel bad for her, she looks for him nearly every night into the wee hours yelling his name over and over, and noticed on my walk to the doctor last week she is also writing "Tristin where are you?" on bus stops.
We have lived here 2 years and this has been ongoing nearly every night the entire time, not sure Tristian is ever coming back.

It's a good thing - stunning building, puts a lot back into the community, rightly lauded for both. The fact that its out of reach of 99.999% of the population doesn't sit entirely well with me though. It's for the uber rich to jet in (I think there is a charter flight from Halifax directly to Fogo), an experience a version of Newfoundland for a couple of days. I'm told that one can go to Fogo, stay in a B&B for a considerably cheaper price & still dine at the Inn to get something of the experience without breaking the bank.
An alternative that is more affordable is this place: Fishers' Loft | Newfoundland Inn You should come visit!

Yes i thought it was a bit spendy. Seems very on trend in the Scandi fashion and I'm sure the seafood is amazing. Maybe one day... but your alternative looks a lot more affordable
