It's an American quiz show, and the current champion has won $325,000 in the last 6 days. That's about twice what most winners make. He"s a professional sports gambler in addition to knowing a lot.
He's going to do it again. (just won another $89,000+!). This guy is changing the game. The host, Alec Trebek, is Canadian (but no doubt USC now).

Yes, I missed today's game. Did he win again? Make those outrageous bets?

P.S. Thanks for the update. I can't wait for Monday's game.

Alex Trebek has been an American for donkey's. He's interesting in lots of ways. including announcing his imminent death, but the current run isn't that remarkable. I recall watching Ken Jennings for weeks on end thinking he couldn't possibly win again but he did.

Has the new guy had a close game yet or have they all been runaways?

Runaways .... his inclination to do a true daily double has him leaving the other two contestants in the dust. He will bet all of say $25,000 and double it to $50,000. Its exciting to watch just to see if just once will he do a true daily double and give the wrong question.

Yes.in the first half of the game when he has time to recoup it if he's wrong; in double jeopardy or final jeopardy I haven't seen him make a bet that would lose it for him. Yesterday I noticed he didn't ring in on a bunch of questions that I didn't consider that hard, so he isn't infallible, but so far he's been walking over every other contestant that I've seen.

Might try to make it out to see Manning Park this summer, I try every summer but it never works out, maybe this summer we can manage one small road trip.

Almost time for Jeopardy!
When I heard they'd discovered a cure for dyslexia, it was like music to my arse.
