No. She was BooBoo Duck. In the early years she would sit among a certain clump of white flowers and then pop her head up to quack .
MrBEVS was always challenged when asked to call the ducks . Woobie and BooBoo did not trip off his tongue so well. I will look out some old pics of them both. Pretty please? ;) |

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I was just checking my twitter feed and CBC's Nahlah Ayed had re-tweeted a Spectator Index piece titled
"BREAKING: Iran's parliament says it could designate the US military as a terrorist organisation" I don't have my glasses on and was sort of skimming and read that as "Ireland's parliament". doh |
Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I nibbled on a bit of Castello Blue Cheese with a drop of whisky/sprite tonight. There was residue on my plate, as well as a few small sticky crumbs.

I really liked that cheese, back in the day when I could eat real cheese

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
MrBEVS ate something rather too hot and spicy at the local Thai temple today. :p
We did not gate crash . Our Thai friends invited us to the Songkran Festival. |

Me too - and Cambozola (I'm yearning for some of that creamy goodness!) :) |

OH loves Camembert, and always has a rather nice one in the fridge. Luckily for me, that wasn't a favourite, and I've not be tempted, so far! |

I also yearn for it .......... almost give way some times, but then realise what the result would be and resist the urge.

I love Camembert and Brie too but have so far managed to resist. My 1 ounce of extra mature white cheddar a week is having to be sufficient for my cheese fix presently.. :( |
Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I do love a bit of Cambozola. And it was only relatively recently that I learnt that it is so called because it is a mix of the production methods of Camembert and Gorgonzola. :o

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Barbeques, I naffing hate them. Also when did they replace picnics? Picnics take effort, you have to go somewhere, you serve little sandwiches, maybe a decent quiche, mini sausages rolls and lovely salad washed down with a nice Chablis or a bottle of Champagne if you’re pushing the boat out. But barbeques are just such lazy affairs (sun's out so round to ours at six and we’ll have a barbeque). You drink horrible supermarket beer and eat petit bourgeois sausages and dress as if you're cleaning out the garage. :frown:
