Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I remember going through the 707 when it was new. They brought one to Regina and parked it in front of the terminal and let people walk through just to have a look at it.

funnily enough i just don't seem to have tracked my airbus flights in the same way.
smallest thing I've flown in is a Cessna 172 of course :) |

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Part of my flights back in the late 90's to early 2000's was simply due to also wanting to fly certain planes before they were retired.
Those were the good old days, always had something to do, bored, hop on a flight somewhere. I wish I had the same freedom today. Even if I had a job around planes again. On the Boeing side I have flown 737 series from 200's up to 900 and soon will fly on a Max 8 (the airline I worked for retired the one 737-100 we had before I had a chance to fly on it, may have been the last 737-100 in North America, don't recall anyone else flying one in 1999, it was one loud plane though.) 744 767-200 & 300 727 757-200 and 300 717 (not likely to ever get a 777 but maybe a 787 one day) Airbus side nothing fancy just A319/320/321 series. Ebrarer E-175 ERJ-145 EMB 120 Brasilia turbo prop Bombardier CRJ 200/700/900 Dash 8 100 as well as Q400 McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series MD-90 DC-10 DC-9 series MD-11 Cessna 152 Did not get to fly it but got to ground handle L-1011 back in 1998 that came in as a charter to San Diego on occasion. If I had been shorter I would have tried being a flight attendant, but in the 90's and early 00's all the airlines had a 6'0 cap on height some are up to 6'2 but I am still too tall. Found a video of the 737-100 we had, N708AW taken out of service December 29, 1999 and scrapped in 2000. |

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
If we manage to sell our house and excess vehicles for what we would like to (a conservative estimation) then it looks like we can either afford a knackerd in need of renovation home in the Niagara Region or with a small mortgage in line with the job offer OH has a very nice little home in the UK that has been done up already. Doesn't make my argument for Ontario very convincing anymore.

There's an update on the convenience store robber getting smacked with the bananas, and a video!

Lager....To me it all tastes bland and carbonated. Ale and real ale is the way to go....the more hops the better.

Are you into trad jazz as well? ;)
more https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz_fusion than trad jazz. Also like espresso, podcasts, NPR, hiking but don't have a man bun, a tattoo and don't like lager. |
