Disappointment, she left without incident. :(

Happy New Year. And if you’re ever out this way, give me a shout, I still have your flights.

Who's the poseur with the fake hanky sticking out the top pocket? ;)

Just watched the first Godfather movie on TV. I remember the first time I watched it, I was so horrified at the horse's head in the bed scene. This time I just thought how difficult it'd be to get all that blood off the sheets.

I wish we had decent firework displays to bring in the New Year in Canada.. and coverage of them on tv. Compared to the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore.. pretty much everywhere else, the 'NYE celebration' on tv is a joke here.

I said the same. Why on earth don’t they use the #1 landmark, the CN Tower, for the firework display, instead of Nathan Phillips Square. That way people could see the fireworks from miles away.

Agreed, the CN Tower would be superb if used in a similar fashion to the way the Sky Tower was in Auckland.

Surely if that rich you would just buy new sheets instead of all the faffing around deciding if to pre treat with club soda or other then which detergent is better etc etc.

The ones from Sydney horse trailer always look good and that's 'just' a bridge with the bonus opera house, but the fireworks are mainly the shape of the bridge. I think Montreal has a big fireworks competition - I remember glimpsing it once.

Could they not use the Jacques Cartier bridge similarly?

Isn't there a nice backdrop also in Quebec City? Or does it not show up with the brightness of the fireworks?

I had several visits of a couple of weeks duration plus lived there for 10 months before moving to cosmopolitan Moncton. ;)

Here's our Jacques Cartier bridge

Just watched The Revenant for the first time.

Sh*tty death. The "horse squatting" scene was somewhat foreseeable, the rest ?????

De Caprio superb. :thumb:

It's bedtime, but I'll have nightmares if I go now.
