I was never fat but I was definitely carrying a spare tire. In the end I lost 40lb in 5 months, about 2lb a week. Now I only fast Mon - Fri and eat breakfast and lunch with the family on the weekend. When you think you are hungry, have a black coffee, works a treat.

Im pressive. Seems tough though. I managed ok to noon on coffee or water, that was mainly because it was noon, and not 2pm or 5pm !

I can get to about 7am and need to eat something. Ill eat one meal and the rest of the day snack to keep from feeling hungry and helps keep my energy up.

I would not make it 11 hours without eating through the day.

I do skip dinner though, home at 415p and in bed by 615 so not worth eating a meal.

On another note, I have never voted in person at a polling station. I have voted in every election since I became eligible in 1997, but always voted by mail.

You would be surprised how easy it is to get to noon without eating if you want to. Breakfast is just a habit. Very well ingrained in most of us, and encouraged by pseudo-science. Having said that, nothing wrong with a good breakfast to start the day, especially if there are no weight issues.

Suppose if take that 7am is 4 hours into my day, its like 1pm for a 9 to 5 worker so its really lunch for me and not breakfast.

Its really the only meal I eat, ill have a couple light snacks like cheese sticks or mixed nuts afterwards.

Not enough time from when I get home and bedtime to fuss with dinner. Depending on traffic on a good day ill have 2 hours from arriving home and bedtime most days its closer to 90.mins.

I skipped breakfast and left for work at 4 this morning and I'm hungry.

I'm not surprised! The time between dinner one night and lunch the next day could be 18 hours - that's a long time without fuelling up. Tut tut, eat breakfast!

In that case 7 am (+4h on wake up) is the same. Do you not have a proper dinner at 2-3 pm?
