Makes sense. Probably boosts morale a bit having comforts of home on the overseas bases.

Same way Tim Horton's got their contract with the Canadian Forces. I don't know why, exactly, but I can't stand Tim Horton's, and never go in them.

As for me feeling strongly, better placed people than me, more people than me, have looked at the facts - remember that, because you always emphasise the facts of a case rather than media reports - and recommended he be stripped of his knighthood.

Having the money only helps, in this situation, if one's accusers are willing to accept payment.

Not the American military, they have Burger Kings at their bases.

And when they leave the base to go on patrol?

Tims is not my favorite, I rarely go to one. Of the fast food places their food is at the bottom of the list.

I don't imagine there are many able/willing to turn down the £1m+ payments.

Today SWMBO wanted to go to IKEA. Entering an IKEA store is totally anathema to me so I sit parked and read my iPad. Across from where I was parked are a number of Handicapped Parking Spots. I look up to see a young man (early 20s) pushing an IKEA cart towards a vehicle in a Handicapped spot. There is no-one with him, at this point. About two minutes later an older lady appears carrying coffees. Neither of these two people have any visible handicap. Then two minitues later, again, comes an older man pushing a wheelchair in which there was seated a young woman, severely handicapped. My thought process was quickly slapped down, and rightly so.
Things are not always what they seem.

Was thinking today and my mind was was wandering a bit.....

Looking back 20 years and being able to have a new car, travel, have an apartment and overall pretty good life on a measly 8/hr which is what I made 20 years ago, well 8.83.

flash forward and I make 2.32 times the 1998 rate, but no car anymore, and little travel with most going towards just housing.

Seems crazy by todays standards. Lol

I often wonder in shows set in the past if prices mentioned are accurate based on the actual time period.

There is a new show on TV set in the early to mid 70s and 2 adults and like 7 kids.

The mentioned a week of groceries cost 32 dollars and got me thinking if that was a realistic number or not.

I realize it's not the most current film but a great "sleeper hit" is Monsters University

If it's a system fault let's hope they can isolate it before another one goes down.
