I'm no expert, but I don't recognise "...shave them them and nobody would give a naff if the smelly weasels were drowned by the rocks near the bottom of the creek, because they're be horrible little naffers..." as being Shakespeare.

Or did you mean The Bared - as in the naked rambler?
Or maybe The Beard -not sure who that could be right now.

On the subject of beards, Shard, you'd be a good person to ask this.

I know you don't pay attention to footballers but there seem to be an awful lot of them - top level - with beards. Not just much more than usual but really full, bushy ones. I think they look very silly normally let alone on professional athletes.

I know there was a national beard day or something but that's just a day and the period leading up to it for growing. But there are so many, for so long now. So to the question.

Is it a general trend with blokes in the UK or is it just something footballers are just doing?

It's all part of the hipster thing. So yes, plenty of younger guys with very full beards. Agree that they look a bit silly. A bit Victorian really. I've had a short beard several times, I quite like the look, but it's far too uncomfortable to keep more than a couple of months.

I had a beard in the 70s but it was almost ginger, quite unlike my hair colour. But then I had a full head of hair back then.

Not sure that footballers want to be seen as hipsters though.

Used my PR card for the first time, it was weird and a tad emotional joining the 'other' queue! However, as i was on a flight consisting of only Canadian, Americans and PR holders, it would've have been quicker in the foreigner queue!
Small price to pay for the stability of PR!

Is it not an option to use the other passport line because technically you have a passport that isn't Canadian or American but if you have a PR do you have to go through the Canadian line?

Is this something new or something in your part of Canada?
In 2003 to 2004 when I last arrived I flew to Montreal 6 times and as far as I was aware there was one line (zig-zag) for everyone every time.

Donald Sutherland was just in front of me in the line. I doubt he'd line up with a mishmash of 'others' if he didn't have to.

A lungfish at the Shedd Aquarium has died. His name was Granddad and estimated to be mid 90 years old at the time of his death. He arrived in Chicago from Australia for the 1933-1934 World's Fair.

Gotta do what you gotta do to get the road clear..lol

People get frustrated when these parts get significant snow. Roads can stay un cleared for a week or more at times due to lack of snow plows citys have.

My stepdaughter finished work earlier, called into Superstore to buy some half price, still fresh, bread and then waited at the bus stop in the -25 windchill.

A woman in a car stopped to offer her a ride home without knowing where she lived. She was dropped outside our house and then the kind soul was on her way to where she lived back in the same direction from which she came.

Becca told me to

Well it's a good job that you will be able to take off your pinny and put down your pink marigolds and enjoy going out on the lash with Snowy, Engineer, Tootle and the rest of the gang down the pub on Thursday night then ;)
