My favourite was Draken Harald Hårfagre, another recreation, this one of a Viking longship. It sailed from the west coast of Norway via Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland and up the St Lawrence to get to the Toronto Harbourfront Festival.
We spent an excellent day out on Saturday wandering around the tall ships; there's a flotilla travelling all around the Great Lakes this summer...

El Galeón de Sevilla - a "recreation" of a 16th century Spanish galleon, rather than a replica of any particular ship - absolutely fantastic and fascinating!

Would love to do an Atlantic crossing (save for the gale force 10!). I don't have a bucket list, maybe I should start one (but call it something else). It would be a bit scary in a replica craft.

Interesting structure. Is it a ship or sculpture? In any case, a subject within a sunset pic neutralises the sunset cliche. Is that the moon on the right or a lens flare?

I always find it amusing that the Vikings discovered Canada, but then decided (eventually) to move back.
