We'd not been in the house long and the grass was desperate for a cut.....little did OH realise the work involved in cutting a 1/3 acre of grass with a flymo LOL
A couple of weeks later we bought a neighbour's old John Deere ride-on for $400 and that was his favourite toy

Thanx for those pics bananahammock.......bring back some nice memories of our six week BC stint in 2005. We were in Campbell River for 4 days with OH's brother and spent an hour at Elk Falls.....here are mine!! I must admit, it is scary $hit when you read that sign about clearing the area quickly when the sirens go off when they open up the dam (or something like that!!)
The last pic was looking over to Quadra Island from Campbell River

Hi,
Just been on the NZ forum they have a "great NZ picture thread", I was wondering if there is anyone out there who would mind sharing some photos of Canada with us. It would really help people like me (who haven't even been there yet) get an idea of what life in Canada is like.
Anyone got any pictures?...

Pretty close eh? no zoom required, each time we saw them they were right there at the side of the road..........you could spot the tourists ~ they were the ones out of their cars photographing the mum & cub!!

OK....I knew about the bears and the cougars, raccoons and mosquitos, i was aware of the eagles, but who forgot to tell me about the millions of bloody frogs eh. And WTF are these giant ants all about , i feel a right Joan Collins, tin a raid in one hand and a frying pan in the other
