Can't be doing with all these pics of sunshine and beaches. This is what it's like in the wonderful NW England.

To everyone that has posted pictures, can I just say they look absolutely awesome. Having not yet been to Canada it has really made up my mind that this is the kind of place I would love to live in, especially with what everyone says about it and the people that live there. Those pictures were like icing on the cake!
Anyway thank you all so much for the fab pics.

Some ontario pics the first one are some typical barns and the second is the view from the ranney gorge suspension bridge and the third is at healey falls on the trent severn waterway. If you look closely you can see that theres a wheelchair in with the people.

Stampede: Chuckwagon races.

This is the start of the race and looks utter chaos. Which it is! Sadly three horses died in the race on the weekend, so I have mixed feelings about it. One guy ended up in hospital with fractrures of hip and arm.

Funny that you saw bears on the drive between Nanaimo and Tofino - we went there in May for a few days and saw bears on the roadside too, the same drive, about halfway between Port Alberni and Tofino (we didn't get out the car though...the dog was going madin the back, like "what is that big furry thing out there, let me play with it"!)
It was about 5pm, don't know if they are more active around the end of the day?
