I assume its because from time to time I buy some apple sauce from the baby food aisle as it tastes better then the stuff in the normal aisle.

We get targeted coupons from another store (they say they are tailored to our needs) that includes mostly offers for baby things like diapers.

I DO understand the point you're making about relationship marketing.
It's all a bit annoying if PC/the company that manages their points system are data-mining my SM accounts
. If they are, they're getting it wrong!!

I could never understand how the PC Points system worked as to be beneficial to me. So we got to the point where we don't even carry the card anymore because I couldn't see any benefit. With other store cards you get some sorts of price discounts if you have the card when you're in store (you see stickers on the store shelves where the goods are) and use it but that doesn't seem to be the case with PC.
Like you, I'd be grateful if anyone could say the benefits of using it and how it actually works.
