Resistance isn't always futile. You can just ignore the targeted stuff.

Which I generally do, unless it's something I'd normally buy.

I'm bemused at why I've been "targeted" with the dog food!

Relationship marketing. Have you been looking at offers of cheap cuts of meat or anything involving St. Hubert?

We get targeted coupons from another store (they say they are tailored to our needs) that includes mostly offers for baby things like diapers.

I assume its because from time to time I buy some apple sauce from the baby food aisle as it tastes better then the stuff in the normal aisle.

Im wondering if it's because I've been posting pics of my partner's dog on Instagram, Facebook and then been googling different dog breeds?

Scary stuff if thats getting near the mark.

No, to the former (well, not online) and the latter (never!).

I DO understand the point you're making about relationship marketing.

It's all a bit annoying if PC/the company that manages their points system are data-mining my SM accounts . If they are, they're getting it wrong!!

My sister swears by this apps for groceries, says she has saved lots of dosh!

(I haven't used it yet so can't give my opinion).

Like you, I'd be grateful if anyone could say the benefits of using it and how it actually works.

My PC points turned my $300 Christmas shop into $10 as I used my collected points. Well worth having. You have to load your offers each week though. I've not got the app, just the card.

Up until this week I would have heartily endorsed PC points, because yes, it's been rather easy/painless to collect then redeem points as $$ off grocery shopping without too much effort.

Then my app went wonky, & Souvy started me digging out my tinfoil hat .

I haven't got the app, just the card. I don't like the app idea really. I get that they track what I'm buying via the card, for example I'll get extra points if I buy dessicated coconut this week, because I bought some a few weeks ago.

My tinfoil hat is being constructed as we speak

What do the PC Points entitle you to in the end?
