I hope no-one you know becomes disabled in any way, but I do hope you manage to get the appointment at anger management class soon.

Do you have any idea what people think, feel when they are on their own and have finished playing the buffoon for you? My father had a glass eye. He made jokes about it but he was hurt by the discrimination he felt.
Public faces are different to private ones and when faced with a room full of people who think its ok to mock you, what do you do?? There's no way you can win in that situation.
Stop and think FFS. These are people's lives you are messing with, just so you can have an easy laugh.

Hi fledermaus, sorry you feel this way but the lad did this day in day out, week in week out for the twenty months that I knew him and the lads that knew him back home said that it was a regular occurance. My cousin is disabled and my late sister in law died of juvenile batons disease. I don't post or comment willy nilly just for laughs. I think a lot of it is down to strength of character,. some laugh in the face of adversity and some don't

Regularly people say things which cold be construed as offensive of anti blind or anti deaf, as often people don't realise I am part deaf. Adults and kids stare at me as my face is a bit lop sided, should I take this as being offensive or just enquiring.
I still maintain that this is an opportunity for the RNIB to gain a bit of cheap publicity. People should worry about themselves beofre getting into other folks business.

He's the PM of England. Anyone in that role is going to get abuse, who cares?
Have any of you watched Questions with the PM in the UK on Wednesdays, now that's funny to watch him squirm.
The big boys know how to wind him up.

Furthermore, he's a disgrace to humanity, never mind the Scots.

I am amazed by the comments here. Imagine you have one eye, that you have been denied jobs, opportunities because of it. How would that make you feel when you see something like this? I hate it when people make jokes about being deaf or stupid, deaf and dumb. When they mouth words to me without any sound, making a joke of my daily struggle to communicate. Making a joke of my life.
This kind of behaviour is very insulting and perpetuates the myth that people with disabilities are less than someone who is "whole".
Of course the RNIB is right to pick him up on it. Its not "PC correctness gone mad". What a lame excuse that phrase is for crass insensitivity.
Good for you having a disability you have "come to terms with" don't you feel anything for those that are struggling to be accepted? Or is it a case of "I'm all right Jack"?
If you lot think its acceptable to call people names based on a disability then in my book you are insensitive, unfeeling, lacking in empathy.

what job has Gordon Brown been denied due to his perceived disability. Before you post more syrup I have been deaf in one ear for the majority of my life, but have no chip on my shoulder, so I don't use it to explain away all my many failures.
