In the sense of relevance to this thread? No.

In the sense of relevance to anybody at all not living in Canada? Not really, except that the odd person out there who might read of this on page 117 of their local rag is just going to shake their head and mutter "Rob Ford and now this?, I used to think that those Canadians were nice, sensible people".

Well, it also provides Netanyahu some international validation, and that is not a good thing. So some relevance.

POlicy towards Iran seems to be inextricably linked to the Canadian government's position on Israel, also looking increasingly isolated.

To summarize: Israel good no matter how many UN resolutions they break; Iran bad no matter how many UN resolutions they comply with.

Also, Israeli nuclear weapons good, Iranian nuclear weapons bad.

I doubt the policy development has gone much beyond "them Iranians are some scarry Muzzies but the Jews, well, they are almost like us."

Ok, OK. All well and good, but who's going to be the CP leader next?

Jesus!

Oh, there's a thought.

No, probably not him.

Kenney? Dear Lord.
