Ok, I'll bite........
Not at all.....they are a blight on the landscape....time to call it quits...authorities should continue as they are in using the law....and escalate enforcement of the law as required .......The more fanatical of their 'anarchistic' number may require such an escalation of force on the part of the authorities as has been shown elsewhere (Seattle)...time will tell...Fire hoses/water cannon always an option....and a good sanitation exercise of the 'great unwashed' compliments of the tax payer.
I believe the authorities lost the initiative some time ago by allowing them to set up camps in the first place and subsequently remain...and as a consequence the level force required to move them now will be all the greater.
This was a given, particularly as the original protest has in many cases been hijacked by the more extreme elements of society.
Peaceful protest is one thing...but allowing the setting up of 'tented villages' in public parks, private property etc was a recipe for confrontation eventually.....better to have put the lid on it early doors than have to deal with it now....
Just an opinion.....
Start the fire trucks, check the water tanks as required, a pretty pink dye might be appropriate........wagons roll!.....

All this chit-chat about the Occupy movement makes me realize that I still hate Thatcher.

I would just like to draw ireland2canada's attention to the fact that it wasn't me who dropped the "T" bomb in this thread.
She appeared (over beer at the Yard) to have formed the view that my revulsion at the named individual is a variant of the Godwin syndrome.

Lost in the details some can't see the big picture.
The Occupy Uprising has been a huge success in showing that there is global concern for the state of our nations. Too bad there are still a bunch of 'rats' willing to toddle along to the piper's tune. I submit that this is only the beginning. Stay tuned.

Sorry, your post implied that you were involved with the movement. I apologise if i assumed incorrectly and you're an armchair supporter.
The only tent i have is an occasional trouser one.
You really don't see the hypocrisy in some of your posts do you
