Thank you James. I saw this thread and thought there might be something of value here but I was wrong.
Until your post there was 6 pages of irrelavant arrogant smart-alec cynicism by overgrown children who have been hanging out in the knife drawer but aren't nearly as sharp as they think they are.

Yes. Protest as long as they want.
No. Stop living in the park. Its a frikkin park for people who live and pay prop tax in that area. If it was a park next to my house i would be well pissed.
Commute into Toronto daily, like all the other employed folk, and then do ya protesting. Afterwards fk off home.

This caught my eye:
56. We demand a national ban on products and packaging that can't be recycled locally.
Do they make recyclable tents and tarp these days?

I want my public science. Or to put it another way, as a member of the public, I want Novo to do anything I say. Jump, Professor, Jump.

This...
...and this..
...are contradictory.
I asked for yes or no. Not yes AND no.
Going by the local movements, the occupy canada version seems a bit rubbish. The only ones left are either nutters with their own pet causes or homeless junkies with nowhere better to go. There isn't the same level of annoyance with government and banking (yet? - a few more months of bad job numbers might change that) here as there is in the US so you don't get ordinary people voicing their support.
I still support them though, but only because as well as increasing the amount of chaos around, they annoy some very annoying people.

8. We demand that EI payments from people not eligible to receive from the program be eliminated. I am self employed, I don't pay them. Does anyone have to pay them that isn't entitled to claim?
2. We demand that the banks be nationalized and limit interest payments to 1% ... What about those with savings, what about those that will then purchase houses they can't really afford. What about the fact that the lending institutions will then refuse to lend?
16. We demand that Canada pulls out of NATO - Where will all the serving servicemen/service women obtain jobs? NATO is likely to be the only such entity that can actually achieve results stopping despots across the world. What organization is going to protect Canada, or will the two rubber flubbers and the one aeroplane be enough to protect the entire country?
26. We demand that "none of the above" be an option on all electoral ballots - What if "none of the above" wins. Does that portion of the electorate accept they are not entitled to any form of representation?
27. We demand that lawyers work in pairs so that a lack of resources won't be a factor in deciding a case
I can't be bothered to type them all out and I can't copy them so:
How will those wanting heroin on prescription be able to afford the prescription? Will they be allowed to steal to fund it?
They appear to want to stop any form of energy production unless it is renewable, despite the fact that, I thought, it was universally accepted that renewables cannot produce enough energy to meet demand

Yes protest as much as they want about other people working for a living.
But have respect for the local people who have to live in that area and may wish to use the park without tripping over tent lines or getting stuck with a old used needle.
Would you like them to live on your front lawn? Or in a park close to where you live. Yes or No?

I liked these:

1. Yes, everyone should pay their share of tax. No exceptions
3. Partially agree - crimes should be punished.
9. If that means free market booze, then I'm all for it.
10. Yes - that's none of the states business
12. As I saw on a US website: when a corporation receives the death penalty I'll believe in corporate personhood.
The rest is mostly left-wing hippy nonsense.

There sure is some crazy shit in there. But I can't disagree with all of it:
1. Yes, everyone should pay their share of tax. No exceptions
3. Partially agree - crimes should be punished.

10. Yes - that's none of the states business

One way to achieve this is to do away with corporations and let everyone operate in their own name. I am sure you won't see anything wrong in that. It would mean the end of your pension, but who really cares about such things?
