Hey guys
It took us a while to get our heads around the size of NB and how great the distances can be in between things.
When we came on our reccie, we booked a slef catering place down in Alma in the Fundy National Park. It looked nice and central between St John and Moncton.
Needless to say we only spent a couple of nights there before moving up into Moncton because it took an hour to get out onto the highway to go anywhere!!!
Our children are past school age so don't have any first hand knowledge of Schools, but from what friends tell me the Riverview High school has a good reputation. And friends with kids in the lower schools in Riverview are very happy with them too.
Thats just my plug for Moncton in general and Riverview in particular.
Happy landings.

hi
we have been here since feb 2008 - yes i know the heaviest snow they had had for years and we arrived!! We live between Woodstock and Fredericton in Canterbury - very small and I do mean small village. We really like the peace and quiet - yet are still only 9klm from the highway . We came here for the small school (3kids) and the peace. Some of the larger town schools are much like Uk - too many kids and not enough supervision - all childrens class size here is no more than 18!!!!! Also they are 7 10 and 14 and would all have had to go to separate schools here and I was not up for that challenge along with all the other ones you have newly arrived and green!!!

Sorry Dave and jUles and all those in the Fredericton area, it just makes me feel sooooooooo cut off up there.
We have our own areas with super cheap housing in the middle of nowhere in this part of NB too.

Welcome to New Brunswick Watsons
We too moved to NB in Feb 09
So far we are enjoying living in the country, we are 35 minutes from Moncton, 30 from Amherst & Sackville is just 10-15 minutes away.NG

Same cr@p at work. Going to visit relatives at Easter up in Tobique. Can't wait for the snow to go.

I am still taking in all that Moncton has to offer
