It's a small settlement on Grand Lake. The new road bypasses it. Nothing much there. I'm not sure if it's on Indian land but there is a large reservation in the area. It's east of Fredericton and the Gagetown Military reservation on the old Trans Canada Highway. I'm not sure what the industry, if any, is there. Maybe agriculture or forestry. It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

Hi pennyhp,
We are looking for a house that we can do up and we saw one near to there that looked a real bargain.
We are coming out next week to 'land' so we are going to have a good look round then. It is just a shame we have to come back to sell property but never mind I know we are not the only ones in that position.
We really want somewhere near a good school too. Any suggestions welcome.

Hello Watsons
welcome to the forum.
How long have you been in NB and whereabouts?
It is becoming a more popular part of Canada than it used to be for immigrants.

It took us a while to get our heads around the size of NB and how great the distances can be in between things.
When we came on our reccie, we booked a slef catering place down in Alma in the Fundy National Park. It looked nice and central between St John and Moncton.
Needless to say we only spent a couple of nights there before moving up into Moncton because it took an hour to get out onto the highway to go anywhere!!!
Our children are past school age so don't have any first hand knowledge of Schools, but from what friends tell me the Riverview High school has a good reputation. And friends with kids in the lower schools in Riverview are very happy with them too.
Thats just my plug for Moncton in general and Riverview in particular.

Happy landings.
