Re: Movies seen 2019
Do we have an active current-ish TV thread on the go?

First They Killed My Father
Another look at The Killing Fields. Quite a difficult watch - I split it in two - but worth it.
It's on Netflix.

An old classic.
I remember seeing this at the cinema when it was released and I've seen it a few times now. Probably the last was about 25 years ago.
I discovered the screenplay was written Larry Gelbart, the man responsible for MASH. And Tootsie.

Hereditary - Not your traditional horror/scary movie. Shades of Rosemary's Baby.

We Need to Talk About Kevin (2011)
Considering the subject, a surprisingly easy watch. I wouldn't say gripping but it does hold you.

Unashamedly cheating here, I have not yet seen Tarantino's latest but based on reviews and some clips seen this looks to be an absolute belter.

Greta
Handbag returned to the owner - no good deed goes unpunished.
A Neil Jordan movie.
(not to be confused with a couple of other Greta movies)

The Happytime Murders.
Puerile in an adult way, gross and very, very funny.
Oh...on Netflix.

I enjoyed The Operative. An 'asset' and her handler. Not the usual undercover/spy thing.
Couple of things that didn't make sense - stretched credibility really - but still good.
