It was just spectacular make sure you take a camera with you and some sun tan lotion though. This grey cloud we have in the city doesn't exist up there . I was sad to have to come home to calgary, whish we'd got organised booked a hotel and stayed up there .
Oi and Morw just remember if you can ski the womens downhill you can ski anything .

So we had a brilliant day, absolutely brilliant!
It was blue skies and HOT at Sunshine (15 degrees C?), but the snow was fab, and my darling sons insisted I went back up to the Great divide, where the views were stupendous!! I even coped better with the descent this time!
Then we walked the Johnston Canyon to admire the wonderful frozen waterfalls, and back to a great dinner in Banff at a mexican restaurant with the unlikely name of the Magpie & Stump! http://www.taximike.com/magpie.html
Sorry about all the superlatives (and for hijacking the thread) but just had to share!

For those of you that dont know.
If you are getting the Ctrain get off at Sunnyside (first station on the NW branch after the Bow river) then walk down 10th street NW until you reach Kensington Road then one block west you will find 10a street.
Kensington Pub
207 10a Street NW
Calgary, AB T2N 1W7
403-270-4505
For those who might visit Calgary in the future its a great pub, worth the trip over the river IMHO.

Thought I'd put the Kensington Pub and Sunnyside Station on the map might make it easier to find.
Which leads me to a question for those who have been there. Did I get the symbol on the right corner?
If anyone can think of anything else that should perhaps be on the map that could be of help, let me know and I'll add it or them.
Cheers

I've just been playing with a new feature from Google Maps.

Isnt the LRT station a little south of where you've put it as well?
Otherwise good job.

I've moved the pub symbol back to where I think you mean. As for the station I thought it should be further south too but again if you look at the satellite image it's right where it should be.
Can you think of anything else that should be on the map (parking or anything).
Thanks
Steve

IF I could find parking in that area I'd say put it on!!! BUT we usually find on street parking (eventually).
When I zoom the map out it does look like the station is right!!!
Oh well it'll be a good night anyway.

Hi guys - I take it that parking is a bit of a nightmare ? Is it easy to walk to from, say, centre of downtown, ie, how long ? or worth a cab? I only ask as I fear I may be tempted to have more that 'just the one' !
